Message when did the standard 3k mile oil change shift to 5-10k intervals? was this due to a change in oil composition or in engine technology over the years? just got the oil changed in the z with the standard castrol 10w30, and am shocked how much smoother the engine runs now. thought i had an electric engine for a sec, haha. i've used the extended mileage stuff before but perhaps frequent changes are still best...

just a side thought... constantly amazed how a 21+ yr old car with 100k+ on the odometer is still producing a solid 20mpg average with 0 mechanical issues to date. think i'm one of the very few who actually enjoyed the switch from a TT to the 2+2. everything just works, when it should! haha
